Departures

Departures

A Poem by Gregor
"

I should hope there are at least a few more sections to be written.

"
I've shunned my past and run away
but it dawns on me, clear as day
as memories spring like reeds to me
capturing my soul and whatever it sees

who is this little boy I see
calling out in prayer?

I am a strong and colorless stone
blocking the sky where light once shone
with doubt consuming certitude
I shed my stories; now I am nude

who is this man I see
dancing on graves?

where I am now no words can lend
meaning to this splintered end
trapped in myself all wild and spinning
just starting now to see my beginning

who is this little boy I see
crying out in anguish?
