So unafraid in my youth

Whyd you leave that day?
On that specific day
We created a unity
You were a piece of me
You were the peace in me

Your footsteps still linger in my head
Your footprints still inprint my heart,
Whats left of it anyway

Your presence remain a piece of me
But peace in me is in remains
Im broken, but i did this
This was my own dirty work

Ive become so unafraid
Fear no longer consumes me
Losing you had more impact to my soul
Than any amount of weaponry could create

Bring on the future, bring on the world
I will have no regrets
My reasoning was you
I stride forward to find new reasoning
Knowing that nothing and i mean nothing
can compare to the damage i embraced

Im ready, but i am lost
Im fighting, but for what?
Filtering my every thought
Straining out the sound of your voice
And blocking out the images of us

Sadly enough,
you will always stick with me
You were my future
You were my meaning
You were my spirit
Sadly enough, you still are
You just wont be joining me

Ah, the thoughts of an old lover. I feel most of us can relate to this, creating an old image into our mind. I like how this was written so it makes our mind think into the past :P Very fascinating.

Retrospecting lost love.
This is heart wrenching and touching, while at the same time it's lovely. Because it revives our faith in LOVE or I must say the capability to truely love.
