DesireA Poem by Greg SkuraMy youth was spend chasing That which I desired Find a wife Live life Have kids And a dog Grow old Then retire To love To be loved By the woman That holds my fire. But my fire went out Though it was my fault A new journey Of spirit acquired A new way of thought I was then taught To truly be free Let go of all that's desired From that moment on I desired To be desireless Far too long Now my spirit is free Fulfilled I shall be For whatever life Will bring me Enjoy the journey Of life We all know The destination.
