Summers Storm

Summers Storm

A Poem by Greg Skura

The Glass Looked Like Metal
It Was Going To Rain
Through A Silent Sky
The Clouds Looked Like Stains
The Lake, And Bay Were Mist
No Waves, The Waters Calm
Bluebird From A Shady Perch
Sang A Summers Song
Wind Stood Still For Eternity,
Just Before The Burst
Droplets Fell Feverishly,
Quenching The Lands Thirst
After All Was Done
The Sun Fought Hard and Bright
To break Away The Overcast
And Give Us Loving Light
