Loving before one ever met meant you had a notion of the love you could provide. The willows root actually grows larger below ground than the tree grows round. The roots constantly looking for a food source. To feel love near or far. to only love one way is beautiful...it's the only way to love! Wonderful write!!

"And Like A Willow I Will Bend"
-This is the strongest line of this poem. A good concrete metaphor as long as you are referring to the bending vs breaking. You can shape into what your love needs without ever breaking or losing strength. This point in itself is a good subject for a poem.

The lines "Gods Love Flows Through My Heart / When We Are Near Or Far Apart" might be a bit over kill. God's love is unconditional, but to insinuate you love this person like God does seems like you are trying too hard to make this love unworldy. Would would be really cool if you replaced the first line with a metaphor about something that does not change relations no matter the distance.

The poem works because the meter is traditional and constant. Very lyrical and intriguing to interpret and apply.
