Mirror of my Own Downfall

Looking into a mirror trying to see a better side of me.

Mirror of my own downfall
I'm fading in your eyes
I'm swimming in my tear drops
I'm saying my goodbyes

I'm breaking into pieces
I'm feeling inner shame
I'm staring in the darkness
Myself I tend to blame

I hide myself inside you
I hold the pain within
a shimmer in the darkness
lifts the hair upon my skin

Mirror of my own downfall
myself in shattered glass
wake me from this heartache
and the shame I must surpass

I just found this in a poetry folder on my computer...i don't even remember writing this!! I love it!!
