Fragile Broken Things

Written 2/8/15. Trusting you with the most fragile thing I have.

Let the endless bleeding cease
I don't want to feel this anymore
My heart is lonely
And at times feels like
It's broken in pieces
If I rip it out
And give it to you
Maybe you can
Stitch it back together
I apologize
For getting blood on your hands
But I'm trusting you
With the most fragile thing I have

Yes we do seem to keep giving it away at every chance we get, don't we? I guess some of us never learn lol. And you know, I don't even mean that completely in a romantic way either.
This was actually inspired by one of my best friends, who from the very beginning of our friendship took it upon herself to try and mend me and my little mess of a heart - which is how I came up with 'I apologize for getting blood on your hands' and the rest wrote itself.

This is an emotional piece Greeneyedpoet. The heart is a fragile thing that someone can break so easily, a word, a look, a comment, betrayal, etc. But the best part the heart can mend and find another and that other person might be the one that always protects you heart so it will never me broken again.

I just love this one girlie, it is so strong and a different take on mending a broken heart. I especially love ..

So true when we have been so heart broken or burned before that we bring the damage with us our blood for someone else to have to take on !!

Haha that is my fave line too! Makes it sound a bit gruesome lol.
I'm not a hundred percent sure but I think Mel inspired me to write this. I had been thinking about how damaged I was when I met her and without me wanting her too, she took it upon herself to try and mend me. And that's where that line/the poem came from. :)

Wow..honestly at first I thought of commenting that broken hearts can never be mended.Not at all possible.But this takes a different turn.It's still broken.Yet,every piece is ennobled by profound trust.This teaches me how to trust others or atleast one person, in spite of having practically nothing.Thanks for sharing:)

Breezy - I believe a broken heart can be mended, I think the problem is that most people want someone else to mend their heart (not that anything is wrong with that) but in reality they don't need anyone else to do that for them. They are perfectly capable of mending it themselves, most people just either don't know how to do that or they're doing it the wrong way. In my case it was mended when I found God. :)

And about the trust thing - trust is a big thing, I used to never trust people but my best friend thought me how to trust again and now as crazy as it might sound I trust people more freely until they give me a reason not to trust them. I've come to believe that you gotta trust people more because if you're always withholding your trust from everyone you might miss out on knowing a great person.
