Warrior Princess

Written 1/21/15 Poem I wrote for one of my best friends.

A warrior princess
Look at the bravery in her eyes
Everyday
She fights a battle
Within herself
Demons wage wars
Inside her head
But you wouldn't know it
By just looking at her
She's so strong on the outside
The demons
May have won a few battles
But I know they won't
Win this war
Do not falter
My soldier
For you have everything
You need and more
To fight this war
May it be the mighty pen
Or Gods sword and armor

Haha yea sometimes I listen to Sereena, but she knows I'm hard headed and won't always listen though lol.
I don't admit this very often but I kind of pride myself on being a good friend. I will go above and beyond for them.

Very true, though I think mine is more of the fact that I'm not in a relationship so it makes it harder for me. I can't just make up stuff! lol. It's not how my brain works when it comes to writing lol. I also find it pretty much impossible to write poems when I'm happy lol.

true, Ashley... we write what we know... I taught creative writing so i can put myself in pretty much any situation with a little research and patience, but the easy stuff comes right from the heart :)

That's how I write lol. Mine are always emotional writes or about something I'm thinking a lot about. With the occasional piece being about an experience/idea or maybe something just random lol.

i do have a nice set of chisels and a number of hammers lol

it's a problem I have, I see things in people's words, even in conversations... i see the most beautiful poetry sometimes where there was none meant to be... it's weird :)

i think you are capable of chiselling on your own but should you need a little extra shoulder strength, well, I am only a message away lol

It's good but can be a curse because you see so much potential in what people say in passing... lol There is a form of poetry called Erasure in which you take a piece of prose and turn it into a poem by erasing the unwanted words...

A lot of things are both curses and blessings at the same time, but as long as it's more of a blessing rather then a curse I think it's ok.
Well I learned something new today, I've never heard of that form of poetry. :]
