Haven't Met You Yet

Haven't Met You Yet

A Poem by GreenEyedPoet
"

Written 6/13/15 How is it possible To miss.. even love Someone you haven't met?

"

I have a stitched up
Gash
On my chest,
it used to be
An opened door.

I gave away
My heart... freely
To anyone that would accept it.

But I've severed all ties now
..No access here..
It's been shut down for repairs.

The color of love
Has been drained,
The flame that once consumed
Has since died out.

It's scarred,
Charred,
Tattered
And Torn
It's even missing some pieces.

But tonight
I feel my heart burning,
..Yearning..
For someone I don't even know.

How is it possible
To miss.. even love
Someone you haven't met?

I don't know
But when I find him
He can have the scissors
I've held onto
To cut the sutures
To my closed off heart.
[End]

Beautiful!
Love and hopelessness, pain and hope wrapped around each other delicately and intricately. Nicely crafted, dear Poet.
