Super imagery Ashley - the picture enhances the poem exponentially; though the image of a hollowed out heart *shivers* is pretty graphic enough. Numbness rather than pain, which is worse. At least with pain you are feeling something.

Numbness is usually worse, but I think in this situation I'd rather feel that then what I am feeling.
I wrote this because one of my best friends has pulled a disappearing act and I hate not having her around. But I hate more that she's going through something and I can't be there for her. Empathy sucks sometimes lol.
