the ghost of a missing presence....great phrasing...feeling pain is one thing, but i think maybe feeling total coldness, total nothingness might be worse.

Numbness has never been something I've liked feeling, but in this case the feelings that come from this situation that inspired this piece feel worse and I hate feeling them, so I'd take the numbness lol.

S**t. Wow... I just... uhm... short poem, but literally shot a bullet through my heart. In just a few lines, I had these memories crashing down at once, and it takes a really really... really great poem for that to happen to anyone (and I was even listening to happy music just now). No problem :) In a perspective, bad memories are sort of a necessary bad. It's there so that I could be where we are now. So really. It's something you carry with you, no matter where you go, or who or what you become. It's a stepping stone for what's to come. So really, what I'm trying to get at is, reading your poem reminded me of the bad in what was, but also why it never would be. Which in a perspective, is a good thing :) So thank you as well :)

love this so much... the photo (a crucifixion) and form create the arrow used to pierce that heart... it is sad to lose the ones we have come to know and love so well... great write!

As for the picture - I almost didn't find one! I was having a hard time finding something that would fit this and then I remembered this picture from an artist that I like and knew it was perfect lol. So glad you agree that it goes well. :]
