Flooded Mind

Written 4/5/15 My mind floods, I'm lost in thoughts again

Sometimes I get stuck
In my head
Lost in all the thoughts
Some of them speaking volumes.
I need to find the key
To this locked cage
To release these beasts
That roar so loudly.
I could sit here
Filling pieces of paper
With a million thoughts
And never feel at peace.
Other times though
The beasts sleep
Silence... and it's deafening
It's the calm before the storm.
And when they awake from their slumber
It's like being hit by a hurricane
My mind floods
I'm lost in thoughts again.
