A Beauty In MeA Poem by GreenEyedPoetWritten 3/25/15 All you ever see... Is a beauty in me.
I come to you
And your words are like knives They cut me open I completely unravel in your presence I'm exposed here (I can't hide behind the facade anymore) You saw every piece of me I was tattered and torn Worn out And my heart grew weak But you never seemed to notice The many tiny broken pieces of me All you ever saw Was a beauty in me I felt like a rag doll Standing there in front of you Patches missing Here and there Falling apart at the seams But now Those same words That cut me open before (Exposing me for what I truly am) Are now the same words That helped replace every missing patch And have sewn every torn seam Because all you ever see Is a beauty in me (End) © 2015 GreenEyedPoetAuthor's Note
