Growing Within You

Written 7/22/06 I really don't remember who I wrote this for. Probably one of my two best friends. Some people take it as something written about God though (could be).

I've grown
I've gotten stronger
In both heart and soul
Perfect in all my weakness
-
But held in eyes that only ever saw perfection
And the highest esteem of anyone's being
I've gone from a bleeding; broken heart
To renewed and cured
-
In all gaining from you
Secretly hidden away
You've somehow always been
That inspiration behind my every word
-
The simplest things I should've known all this time
But somewhere in mid-hour of the dark time
I lost all I once knew
-
But as many times as I fell
Gave up; quit and didn't want to be strong anymore
There was always hope held deep inside
Because I knew no matter how many times I threw in the towel
You'd still stick around
