I’ll Be Brave

A little poem about bravery. I feel that it captures my wish to be brave in full.

I’ll go first
Even if I know I’ll be the worst
Because when everyone’s afraid
I’ll be brave

I’ll show up for the fight
In the middle of the night
Because when my enemy is afraid
I’ll be brave

I’ll be myself
Because I have nobody else
Because when they are afraid
I’ll be brave

I’ll be brave
When they run
I’ll be brave
Until I’m done

Author's Note

I don’t know if it’s good, but I write from the heart so I have that. I’m also a lot better at writing books than poetry so don’t expect anything great from me poetry wise.
