All these monuments

I wrote to you

That you’ll never

get to read

What a legacy

Loved this poem, and it reminds me why I should always "sleep on anything I write, and double that or triple for words of love.

"Love is never lost. If not reciprocated, it will flow back and soften and purify the heart."
- Washington Irving

Those "monuments" will forever commemorate the speaker's capacity for love - regardless of whether they are ever seen, let alone appreciated, by the one that inspired their creation.

Green, those, could of been, they will haunt us. Very nice use of words and thoughts. You made the reader grasp the thought. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.

Oh how I know this feeling. I believe I wrote some of my best poems for someone who will never read them and that fact haunts me often. Wonderfully written. I really liked this.
