Been A While

Been A While

A Poem by Green
"

...

"

It wasn’t until

I saw your reaction

that I realized

you’d never heard me laugh

It had been that long

and I had almost forgotten

who I was

How then

could you have ever known

These moments of clarity are like sunlight filtering through to warm us on a cloudy day.
This is how love is grown; a little humility and understanding held out from the hand giving a benefit of the doubt.

Lovely write.

Scott.

Either it had really been a long time or you need to laugh a bit more. I would go with more laughter...you know what they say, laughter is the best medicine.
This was really cool.

I really liked this piece! I struggle with being connected to my body the style of the poem really reminds me of those moments when I am connected to my body and remember who I am, I hope you get to laugh more

It is good to laugh. Laughter allowed to release joy and happiness. I enjoyed the poetry. It is sad when we forget to laugh. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry and your thoughts.
