Jacket

Jacket

A Poem by Green
"

...

"

And I’ll wrap myself up

in your fabric armor

pulling it tight around my smaller body

burying my head in all the extra

And I’ll tell myself that I can still

find your scent

so that I can breathe again

holding on to my fragile hope

This is a simple and effective picture that captures grief so beautifully. Thank you for sharing I felt this deeply.

Last four lines are full of feeling!
Sad, but so beautiful too!

Oops. 2nd to the last line has the word that twice in a row.

I like these thoughts though. When my dad died I listened to his previous voice mails over and over to hear his kind voice.....
