Tears

Tears

A Poem by Lexi Jackson

Tears spill on your crown of roses,
All the family brought bright poses.
Wake me up from the scare of you lost,
Don't let me see what you had crossed.

Tears spill on your wooden bed,
Inside it lays your pretty head.
Although I'm young and unaware,
I wish I'd seen that you did care.

Tears spill on your patch of earth,
I have loved you since my birth.
Your in a place that's safe and sound,
It's quite high up and far from ground.

Tears spill on your gravestone here,
Imagine that your spirit is near.
I wish that daddy didn't lie,
That nasty pill that made you die.

The poem is very sad. I did like the flow of words and thoughts. You gave some real information in the poem. The reader can feel the sadness and the regret. The ending allowed the reader to feel the disappointment and the truth. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

I'm glad the bullying was stopped. Hard for people to defend themselves from heartless people.

Yeah I agree but at least that one girl stood up for the other which was very brave of her.

This is very emotional.. I think it's dark yet suitable for that age group as long as they are mature enough to understand the true meaning and message behind the poem. Very good read.
