Pulling a cane from an old person's hands and Kicking the stool on which short people stand, Tying a knot in shoe laces of strings - These are a few of my favorite things.
Spilling a drink on a little girl's dresses, Blaming some kids for my big giant messes, Making weird faces at ladies who sing - These are a few of my favorite things.
Cutting the whiskers off furry white kittens, Laughing at things that smart people have written, Pushing a child off a playground swing - These are a few of my favorite things.
When I get caught, When plans fall through, When the punchline fails, I simply remember my favorite things And I go sharpen my nails.
That is so freaking hilarious!! (wow I sound evil.) what I meant was that was brilliant the way you combined the song into your poem. I loved it!! I kept singing it in my head as I read. There were a couple off beats but that really doesn't matter unless you were singing it like me. A wonderful poem/song. Keep writing some like this! I really enjoy unusual or different things! It's what makes a poem interesting! Good job and keep on writing!
For some odd reason this makes me want to read "Build God, Then We'll Talk" by Panic! At the Disco. Haha, that's only because I JUST got it out of my head.
Very craftily written. Instead of going for innocent things you pull it into the point of view of a kid. (Of course, we all know little kids would do these things. Just saying). I think the only suggestion for editing I have is "Making weird faces at (the) ladies who sing." It would go better with the flow
We have all the qualities hidden somewhere unobtrusively in us what your have been frank to tell. A lovely poem and so honest in expressions. A job well done
