IV. Why So Red?

IV. Why So Red?

A Chapter by Green Regol

Then once again

I scream and cry.

I feel it then;

I know I die.

I burn; I drown;

I crush my lungs.

My silk black gown,

It speaks in tongues.

"Escape me not,

Young Scarlet Red.

I have you caught,

Young Scarlet Red!"

It closes in,

Tighter; stronger.

I can't breathe in;

Can't live much longer.

My scalp, it bleeds;

Paints my hair more.

"My dear, you're red!

Why so red?"
