Happy Just a Week AgoA Poem by Green Regolold poem dump SUCH emoIt’s. Oh. Kay. I’m. Oh. Kay.
The pain Inside, I can’t Explain it.
Said plain, It tried, I can’t, Contain it.
Strike me down with something bad but painless; Force abandonment to go away, For every night, I’m sleeping restless As I tell myself everything’s okay.
It’s. Oh. Kay. I’m. Oh. Kay.
I keep Thinking I am Dreaming it.
I see Your face, Am I Dreaming it?
Beat me down until I just stop thinking, Let my heartbeat rest a little while. All my hopes and dreams are escaping. Place my dearest thoughts in a separate pile.
Here’s, to the cry, Of the nearly broken. Hope, we don’t die As the nearly broken, Mis’ry taken, Gloomy, beaten, Godforsaken, Sad, unspoken
It’s. Oh. Kay. I’m. Oh. Kay.
My hands, They shake. My gut Is churning,
My heart, It breaks. My sight Is shifting.
All I wanted was for you to hold me, Tell me everything would be okay, But instead you would rather scold me, With every word you push me far away,
Here’s, to the cry Of the nearly broken. Hope, we don’t die As the nearly broken, Mis’ry shaken, Wistful, beaten, Unmistaken, Crazed, unspoken,
Hearted!
It’s. Oh. Kay. I’m. Oh. Kay.
The tears Run down. My throat Is burning.
My head, It throbs. My eyes, They’re burning.
Day, after day, I am the dead that's walking. We were happy just a week ago. © 2018 Green Regol |
