Your best friend makes me jealous,

Your girl friend in no time.

She makes you happy when I can't.

Can't say I'm feeling fine.

She's there for you, supports you,

Says things that make you smile.

I know I can't compete with that;

Can't say she's not your style,

Can't say she's not your style.

You don't inspire poems,

But for you I wrote this song.

I'd like to say I didn't feel

A thing when you were gone.

I know I've had my mess-ups,

I know you've had yours, too.

All in all it was too much;

Can't say I still love you.

Can't say I still love you.
