The Forest Listens

The Forest Listens

A Poem by Rev. LeRoy James
"

Poem prompt: "engulf"

"
Smothered through the thickest
forest thickets, footsteps fall
forgotten and hushed.

Spirit of the trees inundates,
surrounds and encompasses
your very being.

Tread lightly, Traveler.

I love the atmosphere in this - I can almost feel the spirit of the tree close in as though a breath on the back of your neck...great stuff :)
