My Boys

My Boys

A Poem by Rev. LeRoy James
"

Parenthood brings many epiphanies...

"
Two lives
wrought from the love
of two lives fastened forever
intertwined and twisted
into a single braid, family.

As the sun, moon, planets and stars

etch out their eternal paths
on the ethers of space, so do
your daily actions paint a glorious
tapestry of memory on my heart.

My sons grow cry change laugh learn

outpacing my attention at times.
Going so incredibly fast that when
catching up winded, I'm astounded
by the new facets of their souls.

Every waking dawn sees a new face

brought about from dreams
evolving from infantile to adult.
Look deeply into me and you will see
the seeds of the great men
these two will be.

I love the "lives fastened forever
intertwined and twisted
into a single braid, family"

This shows the incredible dedication and does so beautifully in poetic voice. Bravo!
