Once trust is lost it is hard to find...

The Key to Trusting

 

It took almost five months

But tonight, I trust no one.

Realistically, it may just be a facet

Of my traumatized self.

And it certainly could be argued,

That my subconscious is over-reacting.

Maybe I just expect to be lied to,

Told what suits at the time.

It’s not like it hasn’t happened before this.

Learning to trust will be a relief,

A benefit surely,

Helping to calm me,

Creating peace in my world.
