Panic

Panic

Sometimes...it just rears it's ugly head...

Panic

I don’t understand,

How panic can escalate

 From  being all right,

Visiting with friends,

Busy with family,

Then suddenly,

Hit rock bottom .

All alone with myself

Wanting them,

Needing them

To reach out

To understand

 How being alone

Affects my equilibrium.

Soon panic sets in

For no earthly reason

Maybe that’s an understatement

Feeling abandoned again

These days once a week contact

Is never enough

Especially when editing.

Reviewers say I must show,

Not tell, in my stories

Exposing my soul

Now I must try to provide

More details, but how can I deal

With the shame so embedded,

In my writings, the story - me?
