I ClicheA Poem by Gray WitchHave you ever felt like you were a ....I, Cliché
I feel like I’m a cliché. Transference aside, Toxic shame still resonating, Disassociation prevails, All these phrases so true. Post Traumatic Stress Rears its head.
Daily, I must fight Shaking off the demons, They follow me still. Will I ever lay them to rest, Like unpleasant memories? Or, is it really me That cannot let go.
Afraid that letting Loose of my past, Will cause a response An emotional collapse? One I cannot survive So I grip with white knuckles Letting faith be my guide.
