Daybreaks Sublime

My eyes are all bloodshot,

My complexion is pale,

My spirit has wandered off

Seeking recovery.

Lifting of spirits,

In a much happier place,

No more celebrating the negative,

It’s just not healthy I find.

Better to rejoice in each sunrise,

Letting the pain bleed away.

For the love that surrounds us,

Resonates through our souls

Placing faith and trust

In the hands, minds and hearts

Of those willing to help.

The path is not easy,

Rocks and boulders abound,

But in the end it will be worth it.

For closure, at least

Resolution might follow.

Here’s hoping the end point,

Will help mend lives affected.

Sunrises in future,

Dawn’s new daybreaks sublime.

A sunrise is always beautiful and marks the beginning of a new day, so you're right to greet it gladly.
