Lost Voice

Lost Voice

A Poem by Gray Witch
"

I was told long ago that telling anyone how I felt or what was really happening would cause horrific, life altering consequences. I am still guarded and unable to easily express feelings...

"

Lost Voice . . .

I cannot write and it’s breaking my heart

Words, thoughts and much more stuck inside me.

The pain that I feel, is all self-directed,

By learned responses which I now can easily recognize,

That, serve to govern my inner thought processes.

No matter how I try to break up this pattern

The turmoil remains between want and allow…

You are voicing now...we hear you luv... and I understand somewhat..for I grew up having to be quiet..so locked up inside myself they thought something was "wrong" with me...nothing wrong with expressing yourself...that is the beauty of here Grey Witch.. we are here to listen and as Angi said..nothing wrong with writing to yourself if need be...you have a right as a individual to express and be heard...

What if you promise yourself that you will write only for yourself? I see a little peek of you letting some of those feelings see the light here in this piece. Writing is such a wonderful outlet. Holding all the yuck inside can make a person sick. Really, physically sick! Let your voice be heard, even if you are the only one listening. Angi~
