Real Life ExperimentsA Poem by Gray WitchHuman guinea pigs or is it really more than that?Real Life Experiments
I wonder
if guinea pigs Ever feel
like real teachers Leading
the way, Mistakes
duly noted.
No red pen
lines remark But
processes changing Stand up,
sit back down The way is
not clear.
But
emotions should lead them Crying is
not needed Empathy
feeling Their way
in the dark.
Bright
lights in that tunnel Transverse
synapse connecting Lateral
pushing The path
is ahead.
I cannot
help but wish No other
must follow That would
be best All things
considered.
But if it
is necessary then ease
should be foremost Consider
the feelings Unearthed
from the depths.
Protecting
the soul Holding
hands in the darkness Leads to
the light Where ever
it is found.
Now why am
I crying I felt
better surely But now am
alone Pondering
the questions.
Significant
advances I wasn’t
prepared for One a
revelation Subconsciously
hiding?
What more
is there hidden And why is
the question Do I
really want to know Drop the
blinds, close the door.
A sudden
surge of desire For
comfort, consoling Not a comfortable
emotion Hands off
is the rule.
But
something is missing Mayhap
it’s inside me By trial
and error The truth
will win out.
I want it
to be over But have
fears of it ending Bottled up
all these years What will
fill in the void?
And so we
move forward Keeping
track of the path Leaving
breadcrumbs to help us To find
our way home…
