Still SeekingA Poem by Gray WitchLooking for closure -- still
~ STILL SEEKING ~
Something is missing, I can feel it is so. Wandering through life with this pocket of woe.
My life spent seeking Looking for some
answers. My heart is longing Old dreams be like
cancers.
Youth was gratified Nothing more need be
said Love must be the goal What else caused this
dread?
Search ever after If that only was true. Lost love so empty With payment comes
review.
Focusing forthwith For what am I pining? Surely not for the man Time was for the
longing.
Memories fading Needs a spark to ignite, Is it youth that I’m
seeking Revenge or respite?
Maybe all that I need To be sure to myself, Is to view my true life Like a book on a shelf
Mind filled with fear I can no longer hide. Summon the courage To relinquish my pride.
Love fosters safety I had always hoped. Buried memories they
differ They were how I once
coped.
Now chosen have I To bare hidden secrets. Here’s hoping for
closure Their promising abets.
I still wish to see him As wounded as I am But giving him access Would just end in more
harm
My fragile psyche Can handle no more So closing this book He’ll be left far from
shore.
