Back in the day I worked for AOL on CompuServe in their Canada Forum. We had Chat rooms and libraries and I was a [SYSOP], a SYStems Operator....I managed users and what was done online and behind the scenes. Another [SYSOP} was Bob.... He was a civil servant in real life (oh the jokes that come immediately to mind) and he went on vacation. One of my roles was to entertain the masses. We had chat rooms with names like Sports and Leisure, the Hot Tub ... you get the picture. We treated them as if they were real rooms and I wrote stories about the antics of users and staff... That is where boB came from...short vignettes about a fantasy character from my weird mind ... Hope he ummm.... grows on you ...LOL
