Walk of Faith

Walk of Faith

A Poem by GrayHalwk
"

Talks of life

"
We walk into one door of a life not our own,
Without hope nor a place of our own,
Sometimes we are born in a home without love,
Nor a family or friend,
And life seems endless,
This we can't pretend,
But even if our days are long or our road is hard we must learn not to get lost,
But if we do lose our way,
It will only shorten our days,
So even if the ground is hard or the floor is cold,
We must find time to let God in,
For even before our birth it was God who was the first to give us our name,
Even before we knew of the game,
That most say is just life,
But for some they say it's no fun,
And though they try to run away,
They only run out of steem when they forget to dream,
And when the darkness comes,
They forget to fight,
Letting the darkness take them in the cold of the night,
Because if you can't see the light,
Even on the darkest of night,
You'll die of fright,
But if you pray,
And let God in,
He will help you find your way,
As all true friends will do,
Never leaving you alone,
Even when you can't get him on the phone,
He is there calling you home,
And he will never leave you alone,
The storms will come and go,
As well as your trials do,
They will pass,
Even when you fight your battles,
God's there fighting with you,
And my friend as the tears fall,
You'll find yourself calling to God,
But remember your friend even in the good times when the milk and honey flows,
To thank God for the life you got,
And never let your soul rot.

Not religious myself, but we all gain strength from somewhere, and the good book is a good place to start.
Always think you can go two ways when you don't have family. You can get bitter, or you can decide a clean slate is needed. I suppose in a way that makes you a pioneer. The past is the past, the future is there for the taking.
