A Poem by debra

DPI’s  (Dots Per Inch)
Captivating photographs
Captives sealed within them
Do you see them
Caught in black and white
their still life plastered on pulverized trees
Glossy
Look into the eyes
while the mouth says
hello
welcome
I am beautiful - or handsome -
happy, seductive, sultry, sullen
pondering, stern, strong
The emotions of a
people
being human
Parade
an image
displayed
on the world canvas
to masses
But the eyes
brown, hazel, black
blue, green
Of what do they speak
Through the lens of a camera
they tell you what you want to hear
Nothing makes this clearer
than money spent
the check you write, they write, is written
for a photograph to make the world go round
Commerce
Photographers and Models
One lives behind the lens seeing more than they can show
The other lives in front of the camera always seen
yet seeing more than we can ever know
Eyes in DPIs
Truths and lies
Can we believe the glossy
What will we say to the lens of the world
