Ode to my Mirror

Ode to my Mirror

A Poem by Beatrice Boyle (Grandma Bea)

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. (Lets hope he's not wearing his glasses!!!)

Ode To My Mirror

Mirror, mirror on the wall
Who is the fairest of them all?
Well...what’s the answer...why do you stall?
WHAT DO YOU MEAN I NEED AN OVERHAUL!!

I try to take good care of myself
With the latest gadgets lining my shelf
I buy tons of cream to grease my face
Spend a bloody fortune on my make-up base

It's really sad how low I'll stoop
(My false eyelash once fell in my soup)
I prod and preen to please my men
To get a compliment now and then

When we go out to dine, it's always a fight
It must be dim...with candlelight
My bra's too tight but it lifts my sags
Wear sunglasses in the rain...to hide my bags

I totter around in the highest of heels
(You men should wear them to know how if feels!
I may be older, but oh how I try
To catch the eye of some old guy

Now, you tell me it's all for naught
I've wasted my money for all I've bought
You, dear mirror have me really shook
So to hell with you...I just won't look!
