Beauty and True LoveA Poem by SkylinesWhat happened after ever after? The spell had been broken By true love, they said But this couldn’t be true love She thought
The magic was gone The castle lay still as dead The furniture collected dust And the servants had all snuck away in the midst of night In fear of their lives
Now it was only her Accompanied by the fresh, new, deep purple lands that mapped her arm He hadn’t meant to He had told her as he gave her rose number seven It’s a symbol of our love he said A symbol of the ending of those dark days and the beginning of our happily ever after
To her Rose number 1-7 was a mere reminder of why she should leave But she never did She stayed
Maybe the spell hasn’t completely worn off She comforted herself Maybe If I wait a little longer Maybe he’ll change Maybe Just maybe it is true love. © 2014 Skylines |
