Diamonds buried in the snowA Poem by Graciousdoes everything really die in winter?Diamonds buried in the snow People say things die in winter that life ends as the calendar closes bodies grow cold, tree freeze and splinter then pain overcomes fingers and noses I feel that I am the minority here as I am compelled to disagree the wind and the hail know no fear and they fail to strike fear into me Great sheets of ice encase miles of powder white and allow solitude wherever I go That I may admire the unbroken sight and the diamonds buried in snow Pale winter sun scatters light off the ground and silver drips from every tree but in this place there is only one person found and that singular person is me -gracious
