My new-found friendA Poem by GraciousThis is a romance poem about a girl who experiences love for the first timeA New-found friend A man whose shoulders, setwith laborious experience whose eyes so brimming with all loves evidence hates name is dead and how, what may I despise? of what burning fury may I complain when I am drowning in his eyes he lays me, dry as thirst upon a bed of thick course sand and what a strange relation it seems to be not brother, not father, not son, nor friend a controversial love's fool entrapped in a heart of contradiction and could I, my own picture's painter, fall victim to such confliction? perhaps such confusion not followed by grief, with his heart so pursued, may instead bring relief -gracious
