Life Imprisonment

Life Imprisonment

A Poem by Gracie.M

If god had a physical form,

Sitting up in the atmosphere,

We would bring him down to earth.

We would tie him down with ropes,

Rub his nose in his own s**t,

And put him on trial.

“For your crimes against humanity,

You are hereby sentenced to life imprisonment.”

But it still wouldn't change anything.

This wasn't intended to offend anyone, I've just been feeling really down lately and this pretty much sums it up.

Heh. This poem took me from the lofty ideals of Heaven to the baseness of our level very quickly.

I now wonder whether the title refers to god's sentence or his judgement upon us. And now I am asking myself, We are all supposed to cry for the dead, but where are god's tears?
