Now and then I meet this new Me. A quiet
friendly stranger, walking in my shoes, smiling at everything. She seems
to have won being herself and there is so much life beaming from
within. Her presence is serene, vibrant, no wishes, no needs, no
sorrows, no regrets, no "what if's". She is the unique gifted being I've
always wanted to be. Now and then I meet this new Me.
This is very inspiring! Your self reflections mirror back the most important aspects of learning to be comfortable in our own skin, not superficial stuff, but deep meaningful observations. Yet, I also feel a bit of hesitancy, which is normal & expected . . . none of us can ever feel totally secure that we've gotten on this path & that we'll stay there. Life is full of trickery that can bring out the worst in us, so your brief uplifting piece also reminds us to refresh our commitment to being the kind of person we want to be (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Sorry, Shandra,
Your deeply moving prose of greeting and enjoying your new self, inspired my battered olde pen to jump-up and perform a little poetic Klompendansen. : )
I agree with You, there is nothing like catching a fresh mental and emotional breath that reenergizes one's heart, mind, and soul, in such a way we feel reborn into a sense of happiness and wellbeing … these times should be many, not too far apart; and, I can easily see you wrote this piece with a smile and soaring spirit.
I love your picture choice, because it makes me want to skip and run through a field of flowers, too.
Beautifully and creatively penned, Shandra … thank you ever-so warmly! ⁓ Richard 🍃

Like our poetry, we are never finished growing and being improved upon … when we're perfect, we're no longer of this earth. : )
An uplifting little poem. We need to truly be ourselves. Sadly many of us hide behind masks. Do away with the masks I say, let's see the real people. Nicely penned Shandra Sun.

I'm sorry if I come across mean. I hardly ever review writing. I chose to do yours because of its talent. It is easier to my eyes to absorb with spaces, lines, breaks, etc.
Great work and keep it up. You'll do amazing in this life.

Isn’t it wonderful how we re-create ourselves? And, yet we tend to slide back into the old characters we once played.
I truly enjoyed this brief, insightful piece. Bright, cheerful and still raw genuineness.

This content is too good to have such trash formatting. Try spaces so it is easy on the readers eyes. It needs a makeover something fierce. Great content though.

Breaks, too. You'll want to learn formatting before going into this horrible world.

I've been writting before with spaces and that all but I came back to this trash formatting. It gives a better image of my inner dialogue. Not so much as a classic structured poem form but kind of a whispering of the soul, which doesn't let itself trap in any convention. Hopefully, it doesn't offend your sensitive poet heart too much. By the way I consider my writting prose poetic. Perhaps another good reason to present it this way. But the main motivation is just this rebelious heart of mine.

AND understanding you can STILL be the person you were IF that is the who that you want to be matters. Granted some traumas are extreme and innocence lost is gone forever but "life" empowers some to rise beyond what we thought were our limits. AND for me it is the 'little things' (that I've always noticed anyway) that are the most important.
