Cold winds

Cold winds

A Poem by Shandra Sun

When everything you believed with all your heart turns to be a lie.

Cold winds

Where is home that I can find it, where is peace that I may rest? I'm a homeless little bird, looking desperately for the nest. The spark inside my earthly vessel, is trembling and fighting in the storm. May it never, never fade away, for that's the reason I was born. Home is where my heart can sing in joy, peace is the stillness in my soul. But I'm wandering without guidance. The winds are getting so cold. Will I ever find my destiny? How will all this unfold?

Home is where the heart is. How true that statement is. When I read your lines my mind focused on displaced people. Regugees and asylum seekers who have been forced to leave their homes behind to seek a place of safety. How desperately sad they must feel to leave behind all they have ever known. That's where your lovely lines took me
Sandra Sun. All good wishes.
