The Storm

The Storm

A Poem by Gracefool_Lyn

Endless tears fall from her eyes

Like drops of rain during a storm

Angry clouds looming overhead

There's nothing to stop them

No words to be said

Sunlight streaking through the clouds

Not a hind of darkness in the sky

But everyday the sky becomes gray

No one senses the oncoming rain

So she simply turns away

As the day draws to an end

She gathers all that's been bottled

And finally unscrews the cap

Energy quickly floods over her

As she sits, all she can do is gap

The sudden pain is just too much

The moon never ceases to destroy her shield

Every day and night seem the same

The events reiterrate in her head

She sighs, tired of the game

Unscrews typo,

The poem though as a great deal of emotion as it indeeds washes over you, nicely penned and structured.

Keep em' coming

Lovely write. So simplistic, yet profound. Your use of 5 verses per stanza was appealing; emotion undeniably flowing like waves. Keep writing.
