Hypnotist

Hypnotist

A Poem by Gracefool_Lyn

Took me all this time

To see what you had done

Little by little you changed my life

Slowly and carefully so I couldn't see it coming

But it was inevitable

I finally get it

It all makes sense now

A hypnotist, that's all you ever were

Each time I traced my footsteps back

I found the source was you

It seems the end has come

Yet all has really just begun

No longer am I blind to your actions

I wish it hadn't come to hating each other's guts

But that's all you want

I like the way you use the word hypnotist. Allow the poem to have purpose and story. When someone can control you. It is like hypnotist. I like the flow of the poem and the strong ending. We will wake up sooner or later. Thank you for the excellent poem.
