Rabbit Hole

Rabbit Hole

A Poem by Grace Wolff

Follow me down to the Rabbit Hole
where beasts and bunnies feast and all,
clench my wrists around your neck
and swear by whisper to confess

Sorrow slowly letting off
hollow places of my mind,
whereas I'd rather stayed with bunnies and beasts
than under your betrayal of my kind

Dust and mud beneath my nails
as I fall down bellow
to the only place I know
Oh, sweet grave is the only home

Open arms and warm kisses
but whoever misses
never tastes that scratches
from my Rabbit Hole

That's a lovely piece of writing, and too charming to seem to represent a dark place. Although, it's inspired me to want to read more of your writing; and perhaps get to know you better.

Cleverly, you have contrasted the general perception of furry soft rabbits with "sorrow" and the "grave"; such dark connotations.
