Waves of LifeA Poem by GraceSeekera description of a past life for me in a depiction of this story.
I walk along a beach of the purist sands.
A beach where I can find peace and solace.
Nothing is more perfect or as beautiful.
Yet on the horizon darkness looms.
I tighten my stance and anchor my feet firm.
I do not fear this storm this drizzle of rain.
Till the winds come and knock me off balanced.
Swaying me and taunting me with every gust.
I still bare the winds as they pass as the “drizzle” comes down.
No drizzle more like miniature bullets that blur my vision my sense of right.
The rain pellets me into submission as I give into acts of wrong and dishonor.
I try to stand and I am struck down yet again by lightning.
Completely depleting all my strength and courage.
I wale in grief and pain as the torrent sucks me in.
The darkness strikes fear into my eyes as I lose hope and surrender.
A bloody hand grabs my arm and grips it with incredible security.
It’s him but who is him and why is he here.
My feet enter the torrent and pain is driven into my nerves.
I tighten my grip.
His eyes stare peacefully into mine.
He lifts his face a displays his bloody hand to the storm.
It can not bare the sight and vaporizes in dust as the tide shortens.
I am bloody, bruised and in gratitude.
