Happy PlaceA Poem by Nicholas DuboeA poem about my happy place. Enjoy!Happy Place The cover so crisp and held ever so gently, Reading about horrors from dark Gotham city, Each page is met with my wondering eyes, About a super man who shoots lasers and flies. Then onto the next taken out from the bin, A spectacular kid with a web to go spin, Then a suit made of iron to go save the day, And crazy things the merc. with a mouth did say. Walk into the store and no matter where you look, They got DC, Marvel and every comic book, Then I take a deep breath and I let it out slow, When it comes to "happy places" this is where I go. So whether yours is playing some frisbee in the park, Or chilling in that corner coffee house after dark, Mine is through these doors that I open up and stop, Smiling with delight at my local comic shop. © 2017 Nicholas DuboeAuthor's Note
