In the Shadows We RoamA Poem by Nicholas DuboeI poem I wrote about some people's love for the dark and how consuming it is. This was also my very first published poem by The World Poetry Movement. In the Shadows We Roam Death looms silently above the living, Taking each moment in, Each moment we're giving. It sits quietly just waiting for its time, To crash down upon our heads, While some are in their prime. We take time for granted and live in the tomorrows, Not able to soak in our moments, But wallow sadly in our sorrows. Then death drops down and takes this all away, Every moment, every memory, With the wishes you could stay. Yet we love the darkness, so in the shadows we roam, We scream softy in seas of sadness, When we wish we could come home. So until the day death drops coldly upon me, I will float alone in this madness, This cruel never ending sea. © 2015 Nicholas DuboeAuthor's Note
