A Poem by Joel Blaze Davila
"

This is the start of a book. A book that will tell my life story in such words that i cannot even put out for you to fathom. This is not a book that will cause you to jump for joy, or even laugh.

"
Life Ebbs.
It keeps going.
It flows, with such a particular essence that only so many things can break.
I'm Joel.
13 years of age.
Raised by a beautiful woman, going by the name Krystal.
Raised by a man, of stern will and suffled threat by the name Donald.
Things changed, They did. Just one night is all it took.
Before my uncle killed my dad in front of me; I had no PTSD
Before my mom wasn't abused by her ''Boyfriend'' (How dare she even say that was her boyfriend?)
And especially before she met Heroin.
