Dysphoria of Humanity

Dysphoria of Humanity

A Poem by WordNerd
"

In violence we forget who we are.

"

Hate indulges the human soul in blood

Lines of fate diverge when emotions flood

Eyes filled with terror as they watch the gun

The noise of death kills for fun

Shadows of children linger with nothing to eat

While the lives of others sparkle with diamonds on their feet

The human hand softly cries for freedom and opportunity

To be able to fight for justice in our community

Waiting for God to luster the world in his heavenly hand

Wrapping our minds in a safe rubber band

However, we stand there in silence with no path to flee

There is no turning back; we already started World War Three

So true. I wouldn't be surprised to find if this did happen. Why does human nature crave blood and war? I love the details, the imagery, the emotion....the depth of the poem. It means so much more than what is said and so it is outstanding. Like I had commented before, the quote is an exact replica of what the poem says in the description. Truly magnificent. Well Done.

We choose to ignore it, but this is the inevitable truth: We are killing ourselves. The human race is slowly causing their own destruction. I know we all believe in that stupid 2012 apocalypse thing. Alas, our end will ultimately come when WE have destroyed the world ourselves. Maybe before that.

There is so much truth in this poem that it's beyond words to stay. I will say that you nipped it right in the bud. You couldn't have made your point any clearer. You didn't use too much imagery or make it too confusing. You did it perfectly, and I am so admiring for that fact.

The poem is hard and true. 20 per cent of this world live without poverty. 80 per cent live day to day with little hope. A lot of logic and truth in this poem. WW3 had began. Time for common people to stop taking the s**t from the rich. Protect Mother Nature and stop war. Invest in people and quit wasting money on war where the poor will paid for the greed of the rich and greedy men. Thank you for a outstanding poem. You made me think.

GothicPrincess17,

First thing is first... (I thought the write was good, then I read Author's Note...)

Sweet... Never let them bring you down, for each of us are individuals and have diverse talents. It is true most people who attempt, falter in one way or another in their own li(v)es.

Allow the energy of your words flow from fingertip to page.... Neglect the negative for you have wrapped who you are and what you stand for! Keep standing.

As for your poem, I have yet to read the other reviewers, yet I have a feeling they probably feel the same way as I. THIS IS AN ORIGINAL WORK OF ART... You have placed the words so beautifully that envy is bound to run rampant.

You truly hit the nail on the head! It is a great poem with sound structure, clean flow and intriguing subject.

Enjoy your talent!

Have a great day,

Legacy

Short, sweet, and to the point. Speaks the truth and nothing but the truth. A good capture of the dispicable human nature. Good write, i love how you clevery portrayed each point in detail. This world is hell, and you portray it rightly as so.
